We now move on to the next book the the Housemaid Series by Freida McFadden! The Housemaid is Watching fast forwards us several years into a time where Millie now has a family, and there is this huge family dynamic that is at play. McFadden still sticks to what makes her truly wonderful but now we get to see her write in the perspective of a family, and all the twistys get MUCH more twistier!
We are already absolutely invested in Millie that we can’t help but be absolutely in love with her family. We want the best for all of them and we already are finding ourselves protecting them.
You can either love this book or you can despise it, because we are brought forward ten years later than her last book and we have so many unanswered questions. We find thought as we continue reading this novel that we get so many of those answers, and we are allowed to brainstorm and imagine the possibilities of Millie and what brought her to this point.
The plot not only is as twisty turny as the previous books, but the addition to Millies family makes this a 5 out of 5– McFadden does it again!
