Hawaiian Crockpot Chicken
Can we all just take a minute to remember what summer feels like? I cannot wait for sunshine and tan lines, thats for sure! In the meantime, its crockpot recipes to the rescue! This crockpot chicken recipe brings me right back to summer with those pineapples!
I am not typically a chicken fan, but I love this recipe! I think its the pineapples, because I love pineapples! I like to shred my chicken a bit more than having chunks of chicken, but that is complete personal preferences as far as that goes!
I used a larger can of pineapple chunks and a regular size bottle of my personal favorite Sweet Baby Rays Hawaiian BBQ Sauce, but I like my hawaiian chicken to have more pineapple flavor to it. The amount of rice you cook really will depend on how many people you are serving. I served 7 people, and actually had leftovers!
I wasn’t sure what my kids would think of this, but they actually loved it and even asked for seconds! I think next time I might try not shredding the chicken and just serving the sauce over it.
So, because I have a large family, I use this awesome crockpot. It is a 10qt crockpot that lets you pressure cook, sterilize, slow cook, brown/sear, sauté, boil, simmer, and steam all in one, so I use it nearly every day!
