It might be winter, but it’s still Pumpkin Spice season for me, which is why this DIY Pumpkin Spice Soap is perfect for this season! A lot of people underestimate the benefits of pumpkin spice. For example, pumpkin spice includes various spice that have health benefits.

Health Benefits of Pumpkin Spice

Ginger

Cloves

Contain natural antimicrobial properties and manganese, which is important for bone health

DIY Pumpkin Spice Soap and Skin Care

However, when it comes to skin-care, pumpkin spice has a completely different list of benefits:

Moisturizing: Pumpkin pulp is rich in nutrients that soften and soothe dry skin. Goat milk soap can also help keep skin soft and moisturized

Exfoliating: Pumpkin’s natural enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids exfoliate the skin, removing dead skin cells and increasing cell turnover

Anti-aging: Pumpkin contains vitamins A and C, which help boost collagen production and prevent signs of aging.

Sun protection: Pumpkin’s beta-carotene can protect skin from UV rays

This DIY Pumpkin Spice recipe is quick, easy and requires little ingredients. It makes several bars of soap, and is cost effective and efficient!

Pumpkin Spice Soap Instructions

The Goat Soap Base comes in a block, which can be easily cut into cubes (like cutting butter!) so to make it easier on myself, I used about 1/2 a block at a time. So what you are going to do is cut half of the block in cubes (they are already started for you, so its super easy) and put them in a glass bowl or glass measuring cup. You are going to set it in a pan with boiling water. (Or you could use a double broiler, but this method works the same.) You are going to melt the goat soap base until it is completely melted. Stirring along the way helps. I have seen others us a microwave but I find this prevents you from over-heating the goat soap.

When this is completely melted, add two tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice. Then add 2 drops of red die and 4 drops of yellow soap die.

Pour your mixture into your mold and allow to sit until it cools. It takes anywhere between 40 minutes to an hour. You should be able to make 4 soaps using this mold!

This DIY Pumpkin Spice soap is ABSOLUTELY divine! It has the best scent, lather, and leaves that yummy pumpkin pie scent throughout the day!
