Supplies Needed:
3 – 12″ 1×4 Pine
2 – 2.5″ 1×4 Pine
3 Mason Jars
- What to do:
First, attach your 12″ pieces on the sides and bottom. I start with Gorilla Wood Glue and finish nails.
Then, add your 2 1/2″ ends on each side so they fit securely between the sides.
Paint it. I like to first paint it, then sand it, then stain it and wipe the stain off to make it look more distressed!
Add your drawer pulls to each side. Rope also works!
Next, you are going to plant your succulent plants. To start, you are going to want to put river rock in 1/4 – 1/2 of the jar. Succulent Plants don’t like their roots to soak in water, so this will help the water drain, Especially since its not feasible to put holes in the bottom of your Mason Jars. I used black river rock because then when the soil drains it doesn’t look as dirty!
Place potting soil in the rest of the jar. Leave a little room in the top for the dirt/root combination from your Succulent Plants.
Place your Succulent Plants in the jar!
