When this book was recommended to me by Audible, I didn’t have any idea what I was getting myself into. Make sure you read (listen) to the trigger warnings carefully. They don’t exaggerate!
I wouldn’t totally call this a smut book by any means. Its not your typical romance novel. It is a very strong world with strong personalities, and I was here for it! Brynn Weaver does an excellent job setting the scene and really going into depth with the characters.
This book will test all of your morals and ethics. I mean come on, its a book about serial killers killing serial killers. This book draws a hard line in the sand with a lot of disturbing visuals. They are literally being romanticized, but I was immediately pulled in!
And just when I thought this book couldn’t test me anymore, the R rated parts revealed themselves. And this isn’t just your typical 50 Shades of Grey, my friends!
With all of that being said, I definatly give this book 5 stars. It crosses off all my boxes, with strong characters, believable romance, strong backstory, playful banter. And the cliffhanger at the end leaves you wanting more!
