We are gearing up for Super Bowl Sunday here and our BBQ Wieners with Homemade BBQ Sauce are one of our go-to recipes! They are super simple to make, are absolutely delish, and kid friendly too!
You could also simmer these BBQ Wieners with Homemade BBQ Sauce in a crockpot all day as well, I would keep it on warm as not to burn the BBQ Sauce or dry out the wieners.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 2 Tsp. Dry Mustard
- 2 Tsp. Smoked paprika
- 1 Clove garlic ( crushed)
- 4 Tsp. Chili powder
- 1 Cup Ketchup
- 1 Cup cider vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Pepper
Instructions
- Stir all ingredients together in a sauce pan over medium heat, adding liquids last
- Mix thoroughly often, and simmer
- The longer you simmer, the better the sauce will be.
Can You Make BBQ Wieners with Homemade BBQ Sauce Ahead of Time?
Absolutely! You can easily make the little smokies ahead of time. Just store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. Reheat on the stove or in the Crock-Pot before serving.
Can I have these as leftovers?
Absolutely! They can be reheated for 2-3 days if stored in the refrigerator in an air-tight container! Simply reheat over the stove, in the microwave, or throw in the crock-pot on low heat!
