Bringing a car full of kids to an NFL Game seemed like a stressful feat at first, but I have compiled a list of What to Know Before Going to a Chief’s Game so you can be prepared!
Arrival & Parking at Arrowhead Stadium
Chiefs fans like to arrive early, so make sure you account for more traffic near the stadium and on the grounds. Parking lots do open four and a half hours prior to kickoff, but if you plan to park at Arrowhead, you must purchase a parking ticket in advance.
Ride-sharing and drop-offs/ pickups are at the Missouri Welcome Center which is located between Gates 1 and 2 on Blue Ridge Cutoff.
We did end up driving to the stadium for two main reasons. We had a carload of children, but also because last time we went to Arrowhead Stadium it to 3+ hours to get a ride-share back to our hotel. We wanted to avoid that mess again!
Pro Tips:
- Check the Clear Bag Policy
- Leave any Prohibited Items Behind
- Check the map for your section, nearby bathrooms and exits.
Special Events for Kids
From movie nights to Trick or Treating, there is plenty of fun kids activities to do for kids at Arrowhead Stadium! Check out the Kids Special Events page for more information!
How to Dress for a Chiefs Game
My biggest recommendation is to dress in layers! Its better to over-prepare than under-prepare. Remember important accessories such as gloves, head covering, warm shoes. Blankets are allowed but make sure to double check the size permitted!
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the stadium is large and walking to and from the stadium and around in the stadium can be daunting!
What to Eat and Drink at the Chiefs Game
If you like to plan out your trip and budget in advance, you can actually look up the places to eat and grab drinks near your section! We like to look for places with less of a line, but this helpful tool can help you conveniently plan and prepare your trip!
I suggest the Hot Chocolate (with fireball, if you wish!) if it’s a cold day!
