I absolutely love the smell of lavender and because I have such an abundance of lavender petals for my DIY candles I thought I would make some Fresh DIY Lavender Sachets!
These were incredibly easy to make, and you can use them anywhere in your house! Laundry room, bathroom, bedroom! You can put them in the closet or leave them out as decorations too!
So what will you need?
- Fabric
- Scissors
- Sewing Machine / Thread (unless you want to hand sew)
- Lavender Petals
First, you are going to cut two square of fabric that are the same size of your choice. The most common is 3.5 x 3.5. I actually used the Square Scallop Edge Die Cut and the Big Shot from Stampin’ Up to cut my squares so they were a little fancier!
Next, you will sew around the outside of the square, probably about 1/2 an inch from the edge. Leave the fourth edge open to fill.
After that, you will use a spoon or funnel to stuff your sachet with dried lavender.
Finally, sew the edges of your sachet shut! Its that easy!
Now you are ready to put them under pillows, in linen closets, behind cat boxes, or even behind garbages to soak up lingering odors!
