First and foremost, I am in love with my new air fryer! This air fryer has all of the options I need, I highly suggest giving this one out for a test drive, because it’s absolutely amazing! It makes this Air Fryer Salmon perfect and savory!
So, you may ask, how do you make the worlds best Sweet Mesquite Salmon? It really is super simple!
Ingredients:
- 6 (4oz) Salmon Fillets
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 cup Mesquite BBQ Sauce (We Use Stubbs Smokey Mesquite BBQ Sauce)
- Air Fryer- This one is our favorite!
Directions
- First, Season salmon with Pepper. Place in a freezer bag and add Stubbs Smokey Mesquite BBQ Sauce. Seal and toss to coat. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Next, Place salmon skin side down in a greased pre-heated air fryer basket or second rack of air fryer.
- After that, Set Air Fryer to 375 for 10 minutes per inch of thickness!

- Make sure to put the salmon down skin side down when cooking
- Make sure to preheat the air fryer- this ensures it cooks crispy and quickly
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer- make sure there is breathing room around each filet to ensure proper cooking on all edges.
How to Know The Air Fryer Salmon is Cooked
You know that salmon is cooked through when the salmon has reached a temperature of 145 degrees F in the center. It also will flake off easily and be a light peach color in the center.
Leftovers
Although best fresh, you can keep Air Fryer Sweet Mesquite Salmon refrigerated 1-2 days. You can reheat them in an air fryer basket 1-2 minutes, however they do not freeze well.
